Andrew Joron, author of The Sound Mirror, will be in Chicago next week. On Wednesday, April 15 he will read (with Kit Robinson) at Danny’s Tavern in Bucktown. Details are available here.

On the afternoon of Saturday, April 18, Joron will talk about the little-known “Chicago Surrealist Group” as part of the Chicago Poetry Symposium hosted by Special Collections of Regenstein Library, University of Chicago.  The Symposium will also include David Pavelich giving an “Introduction to the Work of Ralph J. Mills, Jr” (a poet much loved by the editors of Flood).

William Wylie’s latest photographic exhibition, Anatomia, materialized during the creation of a previous series of the marble quarries of Carrara, Italy. Having spent many rainy days viewing the objects in the collections of the Accademia di Bella Arti, Wylie has transformed these fragmented antiques. These works will be on view at the Page Bond Gallery, 1625 West Main Street, Richmond, Virginia, from April 3—25.

A book of Wylie’s photographs entitled As the Crow Flies: Route 36 will be published by Flood Editions in late 2009.
