(William Wylie, Accademia di Bella Art, Carrara, 2009)
William Wylie’s latest photographic exhibition, Anatomia, materialized during the creation of a previous series of the marble quarries of Carrara, Italy. Having spent many rainy days viewing the objects in the collections of the Accademia di Bella Arti, Wylie has transformed these fragmented antiques. These works will be on view at the Page Bond Gallery, 1625 West Main Street, Richmond, Virginia, from April 3—25.
A book of Wylie’s photographs entitled As the Crow Flies: Route 36 will be published by Flood Editions in late 2009.
